“Integrate, integrate, integrate…” This is the phrase students in the McKay School of Education hear over and over during their classes. Going into practicum and trying to figure out how to integrate is overwhelming. You will find that coming up with ideas to integrate curriculum is really hard at first, but it gets easier and over time becomes natural.
My aunt is a teacher and shared this idea of how to integrate literacy and technology in the classroom. The lesson objective is that students will create a movie depicting a character trait. They can pick any character trait. It is a self-explanatory lesson that allows the students to be creative, use technology, and learn the curriculum required.
Here is an example of the assignment that my cousin helped make. The character trait was “generous.”
